Rollyo and Swicki

I couldn't think of what to use either of these for. But it dawned on me that since I'm going traveling this spring I could use a personal search engine to find places to see. So far they've both been very helpful though coming up with alot of the same sites.

ROLLYO on

Well, Google Custom Search engine may have been a bust (for me at least) but Rollyo seems to be going well.

I'm still confused about how people are supposed to find your search engine in the first place. I logged out and tried to find mine, but I couldn't. Maybe I tried to soon?

Also, does anyone know I can upload a picture to my profile so that I have a face on ROLLYO? So far all I can do is edit text and add a webpage.

Shelfari & Rollyo

I have been a member of Shelfari for a few months--I think it is great to be able to let others know what you are reading and also get ideas for new books to read from those who share the same interests as me. I have even added my shelf to my Facebook profile so that it can reach my friends who are not members of Shelfari!

loving LibraryThing and Rollyo!

Tagged:  •    •

for christmas this year, my dad is getting his personal library cataloged on LibraryThing from me.  he has a large collection of first editions and inscribed books, and through LiraryThing he can find others with similar works and discover new titles by his favorite authors...I am really excited about being able to do this for him - he has wanted a "card catalog" of his library for a long time, but there was never a good tool to use (except good old pen and paper!)...and the price couldnt be better (just dont tell him please!) ;)

Rollyo Lover

Tagged:  •    •

I am always a roller skating lover. Now I become Rollyo lover.

Rollyo puts the search engine in my hands. I will not be annoyed by tons of irrelevant search results any more. All I have to do is pick my favorite sites and create my own search engine. I am ready to roll, are you?

I always think it's funny when  topics like this cause me to notice things I neglected before.  I was looking for something on the Frick site and noticed their Rolly-o search engine!

As for my search engine, did one to cover the major Buffy sites, entitled Buffyland.
