This is a very funny video about the internet using the World of Warcraft game engine.

For a long time I have been anti myspace because I felt that it was a popularity contest with my real-life friends. For years I avoided the site as much as I can but in the last few months I have been drawn to it. Many of my oldest and closest friends are moving away because of marriage, work or personal reasons and I needed a way to keep in touch with them. One of the strangest things happen this weekend involving myspace. I logged on to detele all the porn advertisments I get littered with and found out that one of my friends requests was and have old friend of mine from eight years ago.

This is an interesting article from The New York Times which asserts that maybe we are all better off by just ignoring technology altogether. But, you have to wonder, are we really capable of this? It is always nice to escape from the "realities" of reality every now and then, but in the end you are going to have to make the decision to face your the 1000+ rss feeds head on or just click "read all" and, simply, be done with it. The choice is yours!

It was a lot of fun chatting with everyone on Tuesday, although papercuts06 kept on getting kicked out of the room every 30 seconds. :P Beside, I am used to IMing and chat rooms from the days of AOL 2.0 back in the 1990's. I have not used AOL in years because I switched to a better internet provider. I still have some experience with real-time chating from playing online video games starting in the beginning of 2000 with Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, Neverwinter Nights, Counter Strike and my biggest addiction of them all World of Warcraft.
