So, did we all have to go into Second Life and perform a mission for 203? When I did, I checked out a Fahrenheit 451 exhibit that was ... interesting. But underwhelming. Then, also, it was in-and-out -- get the task done, and move on.

Rollyo & LibraryThing & Innovation
What a fun exercise for a lazy Sunday...thinking about books! My LibraryThing has just a few selections so far, and not many tags yet: http://www.librarything.com/profile/jamglam
Facebook page
Here's a link to my Facebook page, but I'm kind of hoping only friends can see it. I can't tell because FB only lets you see how your friends see your page, not anybody else. I just read "Little Brother" (which I posted about before) so I'm all about the privacy these days! Here it is:
What librarians might need to know about social networking
Screencast software?
To those of you in the screencast groups, which software did you end up using for the project? I need to make a video for our project, and I was thinking of doing a screencast. Thanks!
Using media sharing
What are some interesting ways you could envision your organization using media sharing?
For the elementary school my son attends, it would be great if parents could share photos and videos of events, classroom visits, performances, and field trips. Some parents can't always join in the fun and some don't have cameras. By making the content password-protected, and perhaps only available during that particular school year, the childrens' privacy could be protected.
Music and pics
Now playing on YouTube: An eclectic selection of music videos (P!nk, Jeff Buckley, Richard Thompson, Johnny Cash): http://www.youtube.com/jodigabrielle
On Flickr: Some pics of some of my fam; also, an unfortunate reality (and a fantasy). Bonus! A Vincent Black Lightning. http://www.flickr.com/photos/41848265@N00/
In-house delicious
Right now, I work at a UC Berkeley research center and before that a nonprofit. I can see delicious being used to tag common resources for staff working on a specific project. The tags would assist researchers and interns as they gathered data and prevent the loss of information when they leave the organization.
So delicious
My delicious 246 tags:

The tags are in Google Reader, but for some reason my uploaded screenshot is not pasting inside this message. I'll edit this post if I can figure it out. [Update: the image is showing below].
Book recommendation
For LIBR 265, we read "Little Brother" by Cory Doctorow. It's about a teenager who fights off the Department of Homeland Security by hacking and networking his way to freedom. Good read, and interesting in light of what we are learning here. Warning: the book causes paranoia.
