I'm looking forward to Web 2.0. This is my 3rd official SLIS class, so I'm still kind of a newbie.  I work in the Art History department for UC Berkeley as a Visual Resources Curator, which is basically an image librarian. I started in the field many years ago when the profession really only dealt with 35mm slides, but it has been an exciting ride to the transition to digital images. I entered the VR field after getting my MA in Art History. I also have a BA in Anthropology.

Hi everyone!

I'm Erin, located in San Francisco. This is my
third semester in the program and I am looking forward to learning some of the Web 2.0 tools that I'm not already familiar with. I took all 3 core courses last fall and just finished up 210 reference, 244 online
searching, and 248 cataloging. I'm also taking 285 research methods
this summer. My undergraduate degree is in philosophy, which I love.

I am happy to be here. Not only is it the beginning of a great summer term but today is my birthday. I have been enjoying the SLIS program up until now but (and) I am very excited about the two courses I have selected for the summer. My other class is Seminar in Library Science with the topic: Library Entrepreneurship. I am working part time as a Library Literacy Instructor for the city of Berkeley's Berkeley READS and I am also putting together my healing business. My husband and I have a green consulting business called Lights Up Services.

So I turned 30 last year. In the pursuant naval gazing, I decided that although I really liked kicking around at the natural grocer’s where I’ve been for the last eight years, 30 year olds should really have something like a traditional career.

You know that part in Say Anything where John Cusack says:

My name is Michael Logan, and I live in Eureka, CA (far Northern CA,
Humboldt County, the Emerald Triangle, Bigfoot Country, behind the
Redwood Curtain, take yer pick...). I'm married, no kids, two cats.

I'm 44, and I moved to Humboldt County from Wyoming (where I grew
up) in 1985. I got my B.A. in English in 1988, and enjoyed 19
homework-free years until deciding to get my MLIS last year. This is my
sixth semester (and sixth class) at SJSU SLIS.

Hello everyone,

This is my second non-core class and I am really looking forward to it. I have taken LIBR240 and chose this course to immerse myself in all aspects of Web 2.0. I've seen technology redefine my old line of work and have now seen Web 2.0 redefine everything from marketing to libraries so I have put technology front and center.

I work part-time, volunteer in school and public libraries and have interests in academic librarianship.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Jessica Hudson and I live in Sacramento, California. I have always lived in the Sacramento area, which made it an easy choice to complete my Bachelors in Finance at CSUS. This is my second semester in this program and I hope my summer classes go as smoothly as my spring ones did!
