My delicious bookmarks can be found at http://delicious.com/csharifi
I've been using delicious for quite a while, so there are a lot of tags in there. I really love delicious, but until I listened to this week's lecture and read the readings, I wasn't using it to its full potential. I really like the tag bundles.
Compare the features and functionality of Delicious and StumbleUpon and discuss.
What uses of delicious do you see your library/organization adopting?
I am a strong advocate for libraries that allow patrons to tag their OPACs. This does not mean that I want user tags to become the primary method for content classification, or information seeking strategies. Rather, I think user tags should act as a secondary resource for both of these things.
Here is the link to my Delicious bookmarks tagged with the class tag Libr246-11:

I've subscribed to this tag through my Bloglines newsreader. You can find the feed under the "school" folder.
Thanks!
I firmly believe in the power of tags to complement existing online public access catalogs (OPACs). And like many of the scholars and pundits I don't believe it is a matter of if anymore; it is a matter of when. Underlying market forces are too powerful. The word is out and libraries are responding to change.

I ABSOLUTELY think libraries should be adopting tagging in the OPAC.
It appears that tags are case sensitive e.g. introductions vs Introductions. Is that correct?
Also I am wondering why the library interest field doesn't parse multiple entries that have been properly separated by commas. So ineffect we can't search separately on multiple entries. This appears to be a bug. Is this correct?
