As a brief update to my end user review, I experimented with rebuilding this Wetpaint wiki as a Google Sites Wiki.Though I was really pleased with this Wetpaint wiki, I wanted better organization and navigation options and more bells and whistles without sacrificing too much ease-of-use.

What types of wiki implementations do you think would be particularly effective for a library or organization?

Library wikis can be effective tools because they provide collaborative resources for patrons and staff.  Through wikis, patrons can become involved with libraries and staff can collaborate on writing projects that deal with resources and/or common concerns, just to name a few.

Some examples of useful library-related wikis are:  

community wikis
focused resource guides
online catalogs
reference wikis

I am the regional administrator for a natural grocer’s in San Francisco. One of my jobs is to create and organize operational and HR documents for our company. My ongoing project has been the Store Manager Helper, a workbook of procedure and forms. The workbook has a physical and electronic copy, so the managers can copy forms to use or open them from the computer. The idea of the book is to put all their administrative tools in one place.
